Education

Education has the power to transform lives, especially for those on the margins of society. It empowers individuals with knowledge, builds confidence, and creates pathways to economic independence, enabling them to become active contributors to their communities. Recognizing this impact, Jamia Islamia Delhi is dedicated to providing educational opportunities at the grassroots level, making a real difference in countless lives. Our programs focus on reaching those most in need, including women, young girls, individuals with disabilities, and economically disadvantaged communities.

Non-formal Education Initiative

Jamia Islamia Delhi’s non-formal education initiative provides essential learning for children who are outside the formal school system. This program helps bridge educational gaps, enabling these children to transition smoothly into regular schooling. It serves as a foundation for children in shelters, giving them a chance at a brighter, more stable future.

Shashakt Program

The Shashakt Program focuses on empowering young girls who have had to leave school but are eager to continue their education. Through this program, we enroll them in the National Institute of Open Schooling or CBSE, and provide free tuition classes to prepare for their 10th and 12th exams. Our goal is to help these girls not only complete their education but also build a strong foundation for further opportunities.

Adult Literacy Programme

Our adult literacy programme is dedicated to empowering women with basic reading and writing skills. Beyond literacy, we teach practical skills, like filling out government forms and applications, to enable them to handle daily tasks confidently and independently. This initiative fosters self-sufficiency and confidence among women in our communities.

Remedial Tutorial Classes

Supported by dedicated partners, Jamia Islamia Delhi offers remedial tutorial classes for students from the 1st to 8th grade, primarily from underprivileged backgrounds. This initiative ensures that children who may be struggling in school receive the extra support they need to keep up, helping them reach their full potential and succeed academically.
